Whoop Wireless has completed a multi-building commercial campus Distributed Antenna System (DAS) installation in California for a healthcare industry customer. “This four building commercial campus DAS install is a robust hybrid system that utilizes our WhoopFAST Small Cell Interface (SCI) and over the air/donor (HE4) platform. In performing the DAS install the customer specified that ATT, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile all had to be available for the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) users. With the Whoop Wireless design and OEM system, this is something we can implement with our WhoopFAST proprietary gear and software,” said Mark Strittmatter – VP of Customer Service and Sales for Whoop. The installaion was made possible by a relationship that the Whoop Wireless’ sales team had developed over the past ten months. “This project is a great example of how we partner with our customers and are methodical about our site visit, RF design, adjustments to the RF design as requested by the customer and then final implementation of a four carrier turn key solution that provides in-building cellular service to our customer base that is targeting the BYOD user. Definitely a good news story for Whoop Wireless’ design, technology and customer service.” Strittmatter stated. Strittmatter continued discussing the project by emphasizing that campus installations are in the Whoop Wireless wheelhouse, “These campus type projects are where the cost effectiveness of the WhoopFAST design and system really bring value to the customer. On some deployments the WhoopFAST solution can be 30% – 50% less in cost per square foot to install than the traditional DAS system. That gets the attention of the building owners, real-estate developers, stake holders and C-Level staff.”
