Whoop Wireless receives CaaS contract from Higher Education Customer.

Whoop Wireless has executed a Cellular as a Service (CaaS) contract with a higher education customer that will utilize Whoop’s CaaS model to install Whoop’s Small Cell Interface (SCI) platform on their campus. “This project is an example of how flexible Whoop Wireless’ financial models can be as we assist customers with their operating and capital budget strategies. The project exemplifies how cost efficient a Whoop platform can be as we address those financial challenges to have state of the art gear with competitive financial modeling so that the customer and their end users are best served,” stated Mark Stritmatter, Vice President of Sales and Customer Service at Whoop Wireless. “Our customer base has a diversity of financial models that they operate within that fit their business plan and budgetary requirements. Our intent is to make sure we are flexible with our CAPEX and OPEX models so that the customer’s financial models fit to their benefit without sacrificing access to in-building cellular and Public Safety DAS/ERRCS so that all buildings have a safe environment for building occupants and first responders.”

Whoop’s goal in offering CaaS/PSaaS is to break down the financial barrier to entry for building owners and managers to have platforms that will enable in-building cellular communication and Public Safety DAS/ERRCS. “We are not just talking about being disruptive. We are doing it. Financial challenges should not be an issue for a building owner and/or building manager to have access to in-building networks that provide coverage so that someone can make a phone call from their mobile phone and/or so that first responders can communicate while saving lives and protecting their own. Period. Whoop is solving that problem,” Strittmatter concluded as he spoke about the CaaS project.

=============================================================================

Flexible Financial Models: The CAPEX model is for those customers that want a one-time CAPEX expense with a monthly managed service plan; the Flex program is a model that involves an activation fee with a monthly managed service plan; the Cellular and/or Public Safety as a Service (CaaS/PSaaS) plan involves a model that includes a minimal activation fee/or zero down along with a monthly managed service plan.

Whoop Wireless RF Coverage/Public Safety DAS/ERRCS Testing and Reports: Whoop Wireless offers RF Coverage testing for in-building cellular and Public Safety DAS/ERRCS that enable certification for certificate of occupancy and certification by AHJ’s.

Whoop Equipment and Project Management: Whoop’s engineering and design teams will custom design a model that fits the budget of any building from 25,000 square feet to 1,000,000+ square feet including venue-based settings (4G/LTE/5G). If you want scalability, reliability with a cost-efficient platform you have come to the right place.

The patented whoopFAST™ Small Cell Interface (SCI) delivers 4G/LTE in-building coverage for the four Tier 1 mobile network operators, serving >98% of users Day-1. It includes ten radio inputs and four outputs. The inputs include eight small cell (femtocell) inputs and two over-the-air (OTA) inputs. The OTA inputs use band-specific repeaters to boost the OTA signal for simulcasting throughout the in-building coverage area. The small cell inputs are operator-specific, with the capacity of each small cell switchable to any of the four outputs. Up to 50 antennas may be connected to each SCI. A Whoop Antenna Array Element (AAE) is connected to each antenna to boost output power through the antenna. This enables Enterprises to distribute a femtocell signal to a coverage area 50x larger than the area of a typical stand-alone femtocell. The SCI passive switch matrix optimizes the delivery of capacity where required in the coverage area. Capacity may be simulcasted throughout the building, or mapped to targeted coverage zones, based on enterprise capacity requirements and available signal source capacity.

Whoop Wireless is an OEM that manufactures and installs its proprietary Small Cell Interface and Donor Antenna systems.
